Cincinnati, Ohio May 25, 2026 (Issuewire.com) Some projects are about restoration. Others are about joy.
On Friday, May 1, employees from Teasdale Fenton stepped away from restoration job sites and came together to take part in something profoundly meaningful, a backyard playset build for a local child through the companys ongoing #TeasdaleCares initiative and its partnership with the Roc Solid Foundation.
Roc Solid Foundation works with families facing pediatric cancer, providing hospital-ready bags during diagnosis and custom backyard playsets during treatment. Through CORE and community business partnerships, companies like Teasdale Fenton help make those moments possible.
The weather tried its best to complicate the day. Chilly, overcast skies, surprise sprinkles, and bursts of sunshine tested our dedication. But nothing could stop this special moment from becoming unforgettable for Sadie and her family.
Keeping the surprise quiet turned out to be nearly impossible.
Sadie watched the entire project like a seasoned site supervisor, peeking through windows and checking on progress throughout the build. At one point, she delivered homemade cookies to the crew, instantly becoming everyones favorite project manager of the day.
Then came the reveal.
The moment the playset was finished, Sadie sprinted straight for the swing with an excited squeal that instantly made every hour of work worth it. After a few soaring swings, she tackled the rock wall in her cowgirl boots, climbed to the top like a pro, and raced down the slide with a smile stretched from cheek to cheek. Her heartfelt thank you, giddy giggles, and tiny squeals were the perfect, heart-melting finish to the build.
Its hard to put moments like this into words, said Troy Purdin, Vice President of Cleaning Operations. We restore homes every day, but this was about restoring joy, laughter, and a little sense of normalcy for a family going through something incredibly difficult.
Employees participating in the build included Bill Brunner, Mark Cisler, Ethan Collins, Jake Emerson, Daylin Garland, Dana Harmon, Brandon Klieber, Zack Kyle, Holly Maurath, and Jeff Trent.
The playset build is part of Teasdale Fentons larger #TeasdaleCares initiative, which focuses on community outreach, volunteerism, and supporting families throughout the region. From disaster recovery support to hands-on charitable projects, the company continues finding ways to serve beyond restoration work.
As a locally owned and operated, family-owned company, Teasdale Fenton believes caring for the community should be more than a sloganit should be visible in action. The company is fully licensed, insured, and bonded.
For Teasdale Fenton, this wasnt simply a volunteer day.
It was homemade cookies. Nervous excitement. Tiny squeals. Swing sets in the rain. And one unforgettable smile that reminded everyone there why moments like these matter.
